Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age

February 2, 2023

Our community partner and provider, Riverside Behavior and Learning Collaborative (RBLC), is hosting a FREE virtual movie screening on February 9 at 6:30 p.m. The movie is titled: Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age, by filmmaker Delaney Ruston.

Delaney Ruston saw the amount of time her children spent on screens, and wondered about the impact of it and about the friction occurring in homes and schools around negotiating screen time—friction she knew all too well. This award-winning film, seen by 5 million+ people worldwide, probes into the vulnerable corners of family life and depicts messy struggles over social media, video games and academics. The average screentime for teens is over 7 hours, not including homework. The film offers solutions on how we can help our kids navigate the digital world.

This film is for parents, teenagers, and anyone of any age. Adults, children, youth, ANYONE & EVERYONE are invited to join. There will be a Q & A time with a panel of incredible care providers from Riverside Behavior and Learning Collaborative immediately following the viewing, so, have a pen and paper to write thing down as you watch!
