Healthy Learners is excited to announce the appointment of Christian Markle as their new Director of Development. Christian is a native of South Carolina and has been a champion of fundraising for human services in the midlands since 2016. He most recently served as Director of Development for Oliver Gospel Mission.
“Christian has had an incredible track record of success in his previous development roles, and I am so excited to utilize his talents to increase Healthy Learners’ reach and mission throughout South Carolina,” says Healthy Learners Executive Director, Amy Splittgerber.
Christian is a passionate advocate for underrepresented populations and community change. As an effective communicator, marketer, and fundraiser, Christian’s primary aim is to empower the community to care for its vulnerable neighbors and ignite a passion to personally transform a child’s future. As Director of Development, Christian will be the leader and front-line fundraiser for Healthy Learners, helping the organization provide more access to critical healthcare services so that children across the state can be at their best in the classroom.
“I am so excited to be a part of the Healthy Learners family, and motivated to empower our passionate community to make South Carolina a place where all children are healthy and able to reach their full potential,” said Markle.
Christian is happily married to his wife, Alexandra, and the proud dad of his two children, Simon and Melody. He enjoys playing the bagpipes across the state, as well as exploring Columbia’s many recreational parks, nature trails, and outdoor activities with his family.
