Support from Lexington 2 is improving the health of students in the district through a dedicated Hispanic Student Services Coordinator, district-wide health screenings, and follow-up health care services.

Statewide giving to Healthy Learners across nearly two decades with grants totaling $1.3 million, to promote the health of South Carolinians and increase access to health care for the economically disadvantaged.

Healthy Learners was awarded funding from the United Way Association of South Carolina to implement an AmeriCorps program, which utilizes AmeriCorps members to expand our services into more counties across SC.

Since 1996, the Foundation has been addressing the root causes and effects of poverty in South Carolina, with 18 years of consecutive giving to Healthy Learners Statewide

Funding from Delta Dental is providing access to dental care for low-income children in South Carolina, including dental screenings and education, coordination of care, transportation and payment of dental fees.

This statewide support is allowing Healthy Learners to implement it’s screen/refer/serve model to proactively identify children’s health barriers to learning in our targeted expansion counties throughout the state.

To assist with much needed support in the Low Country region, funding from SCCRPH will allow Healthy Learners to serve the children in Barnwell and Bamberg counties.

Targeted funding for the children in Richland School District Two is being directed to support medical fees and staffing for children without access to health insurance

Funding from the United Way of the Midlands is supporting our Midlands expansion into Newberry County
