Brad Martin Joins Healthy Learners as Director of Development and Marketing

BRAD MARTIN JOINS HEALTHY LEARNERS AS DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING
COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA – Healthy Learners, a faith-based non-profit that provides students with access to essential medical, dental and vision care so that they have the opportunity to reach their full potential, has named Brad Martin as director of development and marketing.
In this role, Martin is responsible for planning, organizing and directing all fundraising, including the major gifts program, annual fund, planned giving, special events, corporate and foundation relations, and grant writing. He is working to develop diversified revenue streams from all available funding sources, including individual donors, local government, foundations, and corporations. In addition, he is also overseeing all aspects of brand management, marketing, and communications to help raise the awareness of the organization.
Martin has nearly a decade of experience in non-profit development, marketing, communications, and management where he has worked to generate revenue, develop marketing content, and build support bases. He also has more than 17 years of experience directing multi-million-dollar big box retail stores.
Most recently, he was the director of development for Cadets Arts and Entertainment, Inc., in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This non-profit organization manages the world-class outdoor performing ensemble, The Cadets. He was also the director of development for Youth Education in the Arts in Allentown and the director of development for Trustus Theatre of Columbia. He has served as the store manager for multiple retailers, including Bed Bath & Beyond and Best Buy locations in Columbia.
“Brad has a proven track record in business management and fund development, having raised significant money, awareness and donor engagement for multiple non-profit organizations,” said Amy Splittgerber, executive director of Healthy Learners. “He has also been highly successful in raising awareness and donor engagement through his marketing prowess. He is an outstanding addition, and his fundraising and marketing expertise will help with our ability to serve low-income students to improve academics and health-related outcomes.”
Martin received a Master of Performing Arts degree from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from West Virginia University. He also holds certificates of fundraising from Villanova University and New York University.
