Healthy Learners began operating in Georgetown in early January 2009. The program serves elementary, middle and high school students in Georgetown County School District who lack adequate access to health care. In response to increased deaths by suicide in Georgetown county, Healthy Learners is training teachers, school counselors, and community leaders in Youth Mental Health First Aid in 2019.
