Home > What We Do > Mental Health Toolkit
Our Mental Health Toolkit is a collection of resources to help you better understand mental health, the importance of seeking help and ways you can help those in your life work through mental health challenges. Included are resources for parents, school staff and youth. We will have additional resources for community partners soon.
The toolkit also provides you with details about our Mental Health First Aid trainings. These trainings teach you how to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health or substance use challenges. Similar to physical First Aid and CPR, Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a crisis until professional assistance is obtained or the crisis is resolved.

Trainings
Youth Mental Health First Aid USA is an 8-hour public education program which introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents, builds understanding of the importance of early intervention, and teaches individuals how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge. Mental Health First Aid uses role-playing and simulations to demonstrate how to assess a mental health crisis; select interventions and provide initial help; and connect young people to professional, peer, social, and self-help care.
