Welcome to Jennifer Cooke

Jennifer CookeJennifer Cooke has newly joined the Healthy Learners team as the Healthy Learners Midlands program manager.

As a registered nurse with a varied professional and educational background, Cooke is a welcome addition to the Healthy Learners family. Prior to joining Healthy Learners, she served as a legal nurse consultant for Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP. Cooke also has experience working as a nurse in pediatrics and dermatology. She also practiced as a health care attorney for approximately nine years before attending nursing school. Prior to her legal career, Cooke worked as a medical social worker.

“We believe that Jennifer’s diverse knowledge and experience will help strengthen our efforts to provide the Midlands most vulnerable children access to basic health care services. We look forward to her leadership within our organization and the community,” said Jo Pauling-Jones, executive director of Healthy Learners.

Cooke holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of the South, Master of Social Work and J.D. degrees from the University of South Carolina, and an A.D.N. from Midlands Technical College. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Columbia.
